Synopsis
Yatora Yaguchi, a second-year high school student, is uninterested in his routine. He succeeds well in his schoolwork and has fun with his friends, but he doesn’t really like any of those things. He is constrained by conventions and inwardly envies individuals who act in a unique way.
Until he learns the joy of sketching, that is. Yatora is captivated by the colours used in a painting that he sees that was created by a club member. Later, as part of an art project, he attempts to express himself via painting rather than words. After that, Yatora becomes so passionate about painting that he decides that is what he wants to pursue as a career. But he faces a number of challenges along the road, including his parents’ reservations about his unconventional choices, his more seasoned colleagues, and the study of a subject that goes far further than he had anticipated.
