Synopsis
Zhao Ge, a region long governed by the Shang dynasty, has received a messenger from the Heavens. Zi Zhou, the reigning emperor, tells the messenger that he will no longer submit to the rule of the Heavens and refuses to kneel before the gods. The gods are not amused by this, and soon Wu Jifa, the ruler of a nearby country, launches a crusade against the Shang rebels.
The Shang soldiers are utterly outnumbered during the battle, and Zhou only joins the fray as the capital is on the verge of being captured. Even as he pushes past the opposition and advances on Jifa, a deity suddenly descends from the sky and lands in front of him, ready to deal with the troublemaker on his own.
