Synopsis
The setting for the novel was a world of horticulture. The master of diabolism, Wei Wuxian, was born again as an idiot after dying as a bloodied and cursed man. He was only recognised by Lan Wangji, his soulmate. The two agreed to work together to uphold justice as they unravelled a sinister secret from Wuxian’s death’s past. Would they be successful and genuinely happy?
Background
Mo Dao Zu Shi is an adaptation of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s web novel series of the same title. It is originally a webtoon series which has been officially published in book format by China Radio Film & TV Press (中国广播出版社) since June 2020.
The manhua won the silver award for the Most Popular Webtoon Adaptation category at the 16th China Animation Golden Dragon Award in 2019. In the same year, it was awarded the Best Manhua Award at the China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival.
