Synopsis

For Satoru Mikami, it’s simply another typical day. He is having a conversation with his coworkers as the sun is shining beautifully outside in Tokyo’s streets when all of a sudden a robbery occurs and he is wounded. The typical 37-year-old business employee is now close to passing away and regrets merely dying a virgin. He begins to fade until a strange voice that sounds like AI suddenly starts giving orders.

In the middle of a mysterious cave, Satoru suddenly awakens, but strangely, he has changed into a slimy goop. He now has the ability to absorb everything and take on its features and skills thanks to his new physique. He encounters a huge dragon named Veldora who has been imprisoned for the past 300 years while exploring the cave and trying out his newly acquired abilities. Satoru chooses to aid the beast in escaping after fast becoming friends with him; in return, he is given the moniker “Rimuru Tempest.”

Rimuru is ready to go on a heroic mission that will alter his future as well as the course of his new world, since he wishes to escape living a life like his dull and routine past.
