Detective Conan Movie 02: The Fourteenth Target

The movie begins with the introduction of a serial bomber, who sends a series of messages to the police, challenging them to solve a puzzle to prevent each bombing. The targets are all women who are connected by a unique feature—they are all about to get married on the same day. As the police struggle to unravel the bomber’s riddles, Conan Edogawa (Shinichi’s child form) and his friends become involved when one of their acquaintances, Ran Mouri’s best friend Sonoko Suzuki, becomes the 14th target.

Driven by their determination to protect Sonoko and solve the case, Conan, his loyal friend and detective fanatic, Hiroshi Agasa, the Junior Detective League, and even the bumbling Detective Boys join forces to catch the bomber. As the clock ticks, they must decipher cryptic clues and race against time to uncover the identity of the culprit.

The plot thickens when the detectives discover that all the women being targeted have a connection to a mysterious incident that occurred ten years ago. This revelation leads them to the Haibara family, who were involved in the incident and are now in grave danger. As the investigation unfolds, Conan begins to suspect that the culprit may have a personal vendetta against him.

Throughout the movie, Conan’s brilliance and deductive reasoning are put to the test as he uncovers hidden secrets, confronts dangerous situations, and outwits the relentless bomber. Meanwhile, the audience gets a glimpse into the emotional turmoil Conan faces as he desperately searches for a way to reverse the effects of the poison and regain his true form.
