The story begins when Conan and his friends are invited to test a new virtual reality game called “Cocoon.” The game is set in Victorian London and based on the famous Sherlock Holmes novel, “A Study in Scarlet.” The players are immersed in a highly realistic virtual world where they take on the roles of characters from the novel and solve mysteries alongside the great detective Sherlock Holmes.
Conan, along with his friend Ran Mouri, her father Kogoro Mouri, and other familiar faces, join the game and are excited to experience the virtual adventure. However, they soon discover that the game’s creator, Leo Joel, has a hidden agenda. Leo locks the players inside the virtual reality world, making it impossible for them to leave until they solve a captivating murder mystery.
As the story unfolds, Conan and his companions find themselves trapped in a dangerous game that blurs the lines between reality and fiction. They must navigate the virtual streets of Baker Street and uncover the truth behind a series of puzzling murders. Each crime follows the pattern of the original Sherlock Holmes cases, making it clear that Leo intends to recreate the famous detective’s greatest triumphs and tragedies.
Conan realizes that Leo is targeting the players with real-life deadly traps, and failure to solve the mysteries could result in their demise. With their lives at stake, Conan must use his keen deductive skills to expose the truth and find a way to escape the virtual world before it’s too late.
As the investigation progresses, Conan encounters a mysterious figure named Jack the Ripper, who seems to be the key to unraveling the game’s secrets. With the help of his friends, including the resourceful detective Hattori Heiji, the brilliant hacker and inventor Professor Hiroshi Agasa, and the loyal Detective Boys, Conan must piece together the puzzle and unmask the true identity of the Phantom of Baker Street.
