Detective Conan Movie 22: Zero the Enforcer

The story unfolds when a sudden explosion occurs at the newly built Edge of Ocean, a state-of-the-art research facility in Tokyo. As the incident takes place, the police call for the assistance of Zero, a secretive and enigmatic spy-like operative known for his advanced technology and impeccable skills. However, little does anyone know that Zero is none other than the adult form of Shinichi Kudo, operating covertly to protect his loved ones and solve the case.

Conan Edogawa, the alias Shinichi uses while in his child form, is determined to uncover the truth behind the explosion. With the help of his loyal friends from the Junior Detective League, including Ran Mouri, Kogoro Mouri, and his fellow child detective, Heiji Hattori, Conan begins investigating the incident.

During their investigation, Conan and his friends encounter new characters, including Toru Amuro, an intriguing private detective, and Rei Furuya, a mysterious operative affiliated with the National Police Agency Security Bureau. As Conan delves deeper into the case, he discovers a connection between the explosion and an infamous terrorist organization known as the Black Organization, which he has been trying to bring down for years.

As the stakes rise, Conan finds himself caught in a web of danger and intrigue, with Zero’s true identity hanging in the balance. The movie unravels the complex past and motivations of Zero, shedding light on his involvement with the Black Organization and his mission to protect those he cares about.

Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer won the Animation of the Year award in the Film category at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival in 2019.
