Gurren Lagann The Movie: Childhood’s End

The story centers around Simon, a young and timid digger living in the underground village of Jeeha. Simon’s monotonous life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers a peculiar drill-shaped artifact known as a “Core Drill.” Unbeknownst to him, this discovery sets in motion a chain of events that will reshape the destiny of mankind.

Under the guidance of Kamina, a charismatic and boisterous rebel, Simon is introduced to the world above ground, known as the Surface. The Surface is dominated by the tyrannical Spiral King, Lordgenome, who subjugates humanity and forces them to live in fear and despair. Determined to liberate their people, Simon and Kamina form Team Gurren, a group of spirited individuals who pilot giant robots known as “Gurren Laganns.”
