Haikyuu!! Movie 2: The Winner and the Loser

Karasuno High School’s volleyball squad has finally qualified for the Inter-High. Date Tech High School, the squad who defeated Karasuno the year before, will be their opponent in the competition. The team’s second and third years are filled with dread and despair after failing to overcome Date’s “read block.” Will Karasuno be able to overcome their history and burst through the iron wall with the explosive freshman combination Shouyou Hinata and Tobio Kageyama on their side?

The top Aoba Jousai High School, captained by the astute captain Tooru Oikawa, awaits Karasuno in the following round. Oikawa, who attended the same middle school as Kageyama, is a brilliant and erratic setter who harbours a grudge towards his former partner. It’s a duel of brilliant setters to see who will advance to the Inter-High.
