Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System Case.2 – First Guardian

A scout from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visits Enforcer Teppei Sugou, a former ace pilot of the 15th Integrated Task Force of the National Defence Army, and extends an invitation to reenlist. He thinks back on his most recent months of duty as he weighs the offer.

Operation Foot Stamp, his most recent operation, was a military attack against the Southeast Asian Union. The ground troops’ mission swiftly went awry, and Sugou’s First Guardian drone was called in as air support to drop supplies for the ground units in need before returning to base. Sugou abandoned his teammates on the pitch by going against his better sense and obeying orders.

The action resulted in the death of several people, including Itsuki Ootomo, Sugou’s commanding officer. However, Otomo was seen on video at the site of a massacre three months later at the Ministry of Defence. Sugou, who is now a suspect in a terrorist attack, works with Enforcer Tomomi Masaoka and Division 01 of the Criminal Investigation Department to find his old master.
