Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System Case.3 – On the Other Side of Love and Hate

Shinya Kougami keeps getting lost in the Southeast Asian Union (SEAUn), out of the Sibyl System’s sight in Japan. Kougami comes upon Guillermo Garcia, leader of a paramilitary force trying to restore peace to the war-torn country, while passing through the Tibet-Himalayan Alliance Kingdom. Kougami rejects to join Garcia’s cause out of concern over joining yet another mercenary organisation, but agrees to be taken to the adjacent Tibetan capital by one of Garcia’s men.

Kougami’s intention to avoid becoming involved is jeopardised when armed rebels assault a bus full of migrants. Tenzing Wangchuck, a young woman who is half Tibetan and half Japanese, is one of them. After witnessing Kougami defeat the invaders by himself, Wangchuck asks him to teach her how to fight so she may exact revenge on the warlord who killed her family.

Kougami is first hesitant to comply with her request since he is personally aware that once you take a human life, there is no going back to the person you were. Will he train her in the face of the girl’s yearning for revenge, which echoes the menacing chasm within his own heart?
