Beastars

“BEASTARS” is an anime series based on the manga written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. It is set in a world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals, where a divide exists between carnivores and herbivores. The story revolves around the lives of high school students at Cherryton Academy, exploring themes of discrimination, identity, and the complexities of relationships.

The first season begins with the mysterious murder of an alpaca named Tem. This incident creates a sense of fear and tension among the students, particularly between carnivores and herbivores. Legoshi, a large gray wolf and a member of the drama club, finds himself drawn into the investigation as he tries to unravel the truth behind Tem’s death.

As Legoshi continues his quest for answers, he becomes infatuated with a white dwarf rabbit named Haru. Their contrasting natures—Legoshi as a carnivore and Haru as a herbivore—highlight the challenges they face in their potential relationship. Legoshi battles his own instincts and wrestles with his desire for Haru, while Haru deals with her own troubled past and societal expectations.

Meanwhile, tensions rise within Cherryton Academy as a black-market organization called the Shishigumi, led by a powerful lion named Louis, becomes involved. Louis, who is aiming to become the next Beastar—a prestigious position that fosters peace between carnivores and herbivores—finds himself entangled in a dangerous web of secrets and power struggles.
