The Devil is a Part-Timer!

“The Devil is a Part-Timer!” is a delightful and comedic anime that takes an unusual twist on the typical battle between good and evil. The anime kicks off with Sadao Maou, now a hapless fast-food employee, working at MgRonald’s, a local burger joint. Alongside him is his loyal general, Alciel, who has also transformed into a human form named Shiro Ashiya. Together, they navigate the mundane challenges of the modern world, like paying bills, dealing with irate customers, and maintaining their apartment.

However, despite their diminished circumstances, Sadao and Shiro’s otherworldly nature keeps catching up with them. They soon encounter Emi Yusa, the same heroic warrior who banished them to Earth. Surprisingly, Emi is also a part-timer, working at a call center to make ends meet. As the series progresses, Emi and Sadao find themselves forming an unexpected bond, gradually shedding their initial enmity.

The anime blends humor and fantasy as Sadao tries to regain his demonic powers and reclaim his rightful place in the demon world. In his quest, he faces challenges from other supernatural beings who have followed him to Earth. Among them is Lucifer, a fallen angel and former ally, who constantly tries to lure Sadao back to the dark side.
