Synopsis
Wei Wuxian lives in the Cloud Recesses as his old cultivation classmate Lan Wangji looks for information on the demonic severed arm they have in custody. Wei Wuxian keeps up his disguise as the crazed madman from the Lanling Jin Clan. The two are compelled to cooperate in order to contain the overpowering evil energy coming from the arm. It is up to the two of them to attempt to restore the natural order as spiritual tensions increase in the mountains of the Gusu Lan Clan. However, the demonic arm is not the only dark power lurking in the area.
As more information about Wei Wuxian’s ascent into the road of demonic cultivation is revealed, the narrative of his fall from grace continues. His playful spirit is further strained by the demonic arm. Now is his chance to demonstrate that he has actually left the path of the forbidden and is not the hysterical sorcerer that everyone believes him to be.
