After having left Sunrise in 2000, he joined Satelight, where he created and directed the shows Geneshaft, HeatGuy J, and the most famous of the three, Noein: To Your Other Self.Since then Akane has gone freelance. His more recent works include Birdy the Mighty: Decode and Stars Align.
